The latest Tales of Luminaria Chancellor August Wallenstein character trailer kicks off a look at Gildllan Empire characters. He’s a member of the third faction pursing information about and using the Primordial Beasts. He’s a staff-wielder who’s risen through the ranks of the empire.
Given that he wields a staff, August uses plenty of Artes in his trailer. The video also shows off an in-battle dash where when he moves to a different position on the field, he actually temporarily disappears. There’s also a suggestion at the end of the video that he has suspicions about another Gildllan Empire character.

As for his voice actor, J. Michael Tatum plays August in Tales of Luminaria. He’s played Rintaro Okabe in the Steins;Gate anime adaptations. He’s also Tenya “Turbo Hero: Ingenium” Iida in My Hero Academia. Most recently, he’s been Mycroft in Moriarty the Patriot.
