Chargers looking healthy on Wednesday’s injury report

Could the Browns be wrecked by injuries come game day?

NFL: Los Angeles Chargers OTA Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

After a week where several players were put on injured reserve, the Chargers’ first injury report of week five looks rather sterling, despite having several notable names on it.

With the shorter week on tap, the Chargers utilized a walkthrough practice instead of their usual structure on Wednesdays. Since it was not a normal practice, the team “estimated” what the injury report would have looked like.

Fortunately, there were zero players who would have been non-participants while players like Chris Harris, Justin Jackson, and Derwin James would have likely been limited. Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, and Drue Tranquill are listed but would have participated fully.

On the other side of this game, the Browns’ injury report was flush with names, including plenty of their impact players.

Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, cornerback Denzel Ward, linebacker Malcolm Smith, and left tackle Jedrick Wills were non-participants while right tackle Jack Conklin was limited.

While it’s still early in the week, the Chargers may find themselves heading into Sunday’s game to face a Browns team stricken by their fair share of ailments.
