Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for quite some time now, with the likes of Juventus and PSG interested in his services.

However, the latest coming from French outlet L’Equipe is saying that Pogba and his entourage are now interested in signing a new deal with the Red Devils that would make him the highest-paid player in Premier League history. His current contract expires next summer but he’s reportedly very hopeful about the future of the club, especially after the arrival of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Paul Pogba is off to a smashing start to begin the PL campaign, already tallying seven assists in as many league appearances. Of course, his agent is Mino Raiola, who is one of the best in the business as well and will be keen to get his client a pretty penny.

Given Pogba’s hefty salary demands, it’s unlikely any other English club or even PSG for that matter would move for him. Manchester United certainly has the upper hand here and if they can compete for titles this season, it’s hard to imagine Paul Pogba departing for another European giant. The report also states that he isn’t fond of returning to France to play for Paris, anyway.

Pogba has been at United since 2016 and although he has endured some rough times, he is clearly seen as a key piece of the side right now. It would be huge for them to lock him down for the foreseeable future.
