How have college hockey teams with the most NHL first-round draft picks fared?

Most of them have been good, but national championships have been elusive.

Michigan is making history this men's college hockey season by having more NHL first-round draft picks on its roster than any other (seven).

The previous record was six.

Here's a look at how the 12 teams with the highest number of first-round NHL picks fared.

Most NHL first-round picks on one NCAA team

7 - Michigan 2021-22

First rounders: Owen Power (1), Matty Beniers (2), Luke Hughes (3), Kent Johnson (4), Mackie Samoskevich (24), Brendan Brisson (29), John Beecher (30).

6 - North Dakota 2005-06

First rounders: Jonathan Toews (3), Brian Lee (9), Drew Stafford (13), Travis Zajac (20), T.J. Oshie (24), Joe Finley (27).
