Despite recent indications of the team's willingness to bring back Ben Simmons for the upcoming season, the Philadelphia 76ers are still trying to find a way to get rid of their want-away star. Simmons has made it abundantly clear that he wants nothing to do with the Sixers, and at this point, Philly is still actively looking for a trade partner before the new season starts.

The Indiana Pacers have been identified as one of several teams that are still in the running for Simmons. Caris LeVert has been mentioned as a centerpiece in a potential trade. However, according to NBA insider Jordan Shultz, the Sixers also have eyes on former Rookie of the Year winner Malcolm Brogdon:

If the Pacers are indeed willing to part ways with arguably their two best players on the squad, then this might pique the interest of the Sixers. Philly has reportedly slapped Simmons with an unreasonable price tag and it looks like they're not backing down on their demands. As such, Indiana will likely need to add a couple of draft picks as part of the deal.

As the above report suggests, bringing in Brogdon to Philly could prove to be beneficial for Joel Embiid and the Sixers. The same can be said for LeVert, who himself has proven that he's capable of the occasional scoring explosion. More importantly, this trade would allow the Sixers to finally rid themselves of all the drama surrounding Ben Simmons.
