Awake NY Reveals a Pattern-Filled FW21 Collection
Featuring colorful wool suits, knitwear, hoodies and more.
Awake NY has unveiled a pattern and color-filled collection for the Fall/Winter 2021 season. Helmed by Angelo Baque, the vibrant offering was inspired by artists like The Style Council, Bad Brains, Jay Electronica’s “A Written Testimony” and Main Source’s “Live at the Barbeque.”
The new collection features a range of pieces including wool suits, overcoats, knitwear, hoodies and shirts. A collection mainstay is a double-breasted wool suit that comes in solid forest green and yellow houndstooth — a design that extends to the brand’s first range of overcoats offered in dark green and houndstooth.
The attention to outerwear continues with black and tan cotton jackets, which include a multicolored embroidered dragon on the front and sleeves. For a bold pop of color, the collection showcases a lime green nylon jacket with a furry black and pink cheetah-print lining. Knitwear garments range from a rust, brick and blue-colored mohair sweater to zipped cardigans with a contrasting color striped detailing.
Even casual garments like hoodies, sweatshirts and sweatpants are washed in bold color pairings. One of the included styles is a sweatshirt with the Awake name in large 3D lettering that runs across the body, offered in green, blue and black colorways. Another collection hoodie includes an airbrushed NYC skyline, coming in lavender, sky blue and black. Topping off the collection is an assortment of multicolored caps and beanies, which also feature geometric, bandana and animal prints.
The Awake NY FW21 collection drops Friday, October 8, at 11:00 am ET on Awake NY’s website in addition to online and in-store at Dover Street Market NY and LA.
