Lynn, Giolito to start first 2 games of ALDS for White Sox

The Chicago White Sox named Lance Lynn and Lucas Giolito their starting pitchers for the first two games of the ALDS versus the Houston Astros, according to Scott Merkin of MLB.com.

They'll go up against Lance McCullers Jr. and Framber Valdez of the Astros. Neither team has committed to a starter for Game 3.

The White Sox boasted one of the top starting rotations in the American League this season. Lynn led the group, posting a 2.69 ERA and earning his second career All-Star nod. Giolito topped the staff in innings pitched and finished the regular season with a 3.53 ERA.

Dylan Cease, Carlos Rodon, and Dallas Keuchel are all options to start Game 3 for the White Sox, who went 93-69 to win the AL Central for the first time since 2008.

The White Sox-Astros series begins Thursday afternoon at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
