There were concerns about Giannis Antetokounmpo's knee injury heading into the 2021-22 season, but it sure looks like the Milwaukee Bucks star is in great condition physically and mentally.

On Wednesday after the Bucks' practice, Antetokounmpo talked briefly with the media not to answer questions but to give an update on his injury. The Greek Freak was obviously in good spirits and appeared to be having fun, as he delivered one of the most entertaining and hilarious updates one wouldn't expect from an injury news.

“I know you guys have a lot of questions. I'm not going to address them,” the Bucks star started with a smile. “I practiced today–my first practice. It was good. I feel good. Things look really, really good for me now. I'm getting back healthy … I'm excited.”

For those not in the know, Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a hyperextended left knee injury during the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks. While it initially sidelined him, he was able to return in time for the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns and led the Bucks to the Larry O'Brien trophy.

However, in an interview with COSMOTE TV last month, Antetokounmpo admitted that he was still in pain during Game 1 against the Suns. He then went on to note that he's still hurting during the offseason in his first practice since Game 6 of the Finals.

“I shouldn’t have played in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. I was in a lot of pain. I’m still hurting. But I’ll be okay,” Giannis shared, via Dionysis Aravantinos of Hoops Hype. “I’m still hurting. Yesterday was the first tough practice I had since Game 6 of the NBA Finals. I’m hurting a lot, but I’ll be okay.”

While it is still unknown if Antetokounmpo will be available for the Bucks at the start of the season, it certainly appears Bucks fans have nothing to worry about.
