McCormick was waived by the Kraken on Wednesday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.
Unsurprisingly, McCormick's short stay in training camp wasn't enough to earn him a spot on the big club's initial roster. The 29-year-old winger will likely end up with AHL Charlotte unless he's claimed on waivers. He'll serve as organization forward depth, but it's unlikely he'll make much of a scoring impact even if he's called up during the season.
