Ghana’s struggles with wooing top dual nationals blamed on social media

Ghana management member Fred Pappoe believes the nation’s challenges to lure dual nationals into the Black Stars squad is partly to blame on bad comments about the team from fans on social media.

The four-time African champions have struggled in recent times, with players such as Jeremy Doku, Francis Amuzu, Inaki Williams, Cody Gakpo and Myron Boadu all rejecting advances from the Ghana Football Association in recent times.

“People are at liberty to express their views on social media and consistently advise the players not to come and play for Ghana. All these things are bound to have effects on them,” Pappoe, also a former GFA vice president, told Joy Sports.
