Rams Keep Traveling, Play at Nevada, San Jose State

Colorado State will continue Mountain West action at Wolf Pack Thursday and Spartans Saturday.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State continue Mountain West action this week on the road, heading to Nevada and San Jose State. The Rams will face the Wolf Pack on Thursday night at 7 p.m., MT before playing Saturday at the Spartans at 2 p.m., MT. Both matches will be streamed on the Mountain West Network.
 
Rams at a Glance
» Colorado State continues Mountain West play away from Moby Arena, playing two more road matches at Nevada and San Jose State.
» CSU started Mountain West action last week, starting the season with three-consecutive sweeps against Boise State, Utah State and Wyoming.
» The Rams dropped their first conference match at Fresno State last Thursday, 3-1.
» The Rams finished their non-conference schedule with a 4-5 mark, earning three wins at their home tournament, before dropping a pair of matches to rival then-No. 25 Colorado.

Scouting Nevada
» Nevada has struggled during the start of Mountain West play, dropping its first four matches, including a pair of sweeps.
» The Wolf Pack started league play getting swept by San Diego State and UNLV at home. Nevada hit the road and dropped the next to contests, 3-1 at Utah State and Boise State.
» Nevada posted a 3-10 non-conference mark, picking up wins against San Francisco and at home versus Sac State and CSUN..
» Nevada sits at or near the bottom of every Mountain West statistical category, but is above Colorado State in blocks with a 1.98 average.
 
Scouting San Jose State
» San Jose State started conference play knocking off preseason favorite and defending conference champion UNLV with a sweep, following by a victory against San Diego State.
» The Spartans moved to 3-0 with a five-set win at Boise State, but suffered their first loss in league play at Utah State after getting swept.
» San Jose State will host Wyoming on Thursday before playing the Rams Saturday afternoon.
» Senior libero Sarah Smevog inked her name in San Jose State's record book, recording her 1,000th career dig in the loss to Utah State last weekend.
 
Series History
» Colorado State and Nevada will meet for just the 20th time overall, as CSU holds a 17-2 overall mark.
» The Rams have won the last 16 matches dating back to 2012, including all 10 matches played in Reno, Nev.
» CSU has never played a five-set match with the Wolf Pack, while also sweeping them 12 times during the 16-match winning streak.
» This will be just the 10th time ever the Rams will play the Wolf Pack unranked.
