Mike Trout has made it clear that he expects to be back by LA Angels spring training in four or five months here.

It was an optimistic moment, but sometimes it’s been hard to be optimistic about Trout’s recovery. Recently, however, we got some more confirmation.

Perry Minasian also confirming that Trout should be back by the time we start spring training is huge.

Mike Trout will be totally fine as long as he’s back by the start of LA Angels spring training.

If Mike Trout can get a full spring training in for the LA Angels before the season starts, he’ll be right back to where he was before the injury.

And that was a pretty incredible player, by the way. It was a player who was even rivaling Shohei Ohtani for the AL MVP. The 2021 starting All-Star Game selection was hitting .333/.466/.624 (1.090 OPS) before he went down. He had hit eight home runs and scored 23 runs in the 36 games.

He hasn’t made an error in the field in multiple seasons, and again, he was so good that he even started the All-Star Game after just playing 36 games. He was having the best year of his career.

Trout has already been working out in various ways for a few months now. All he needed to come back this past season was some rehab assignments. So, now he can continue doing some baseball activities and working out at his own pace, and then get that needed game action once he gets to Tempe.

Next. A trip down memory lane

Sure, he won’t get those game reps for a while, but he’ll get them. Trout is poised to be an MVP candidate again next year. We as Angels fans need to understand and remember how lucky we are to have the two best players on the planet on our team.
