Motorola is currently rumored to have what might be its 2021 flagship for the Moto E series of smartphones in the works. Now, this device has appeared in an e-tail listing online for the first time. The information on this page matches all previous tips concerning the smartphone, its possible unique selling point included.

The Motorola Moto E40 could be promoted as the highest-end member of its budget series to date. This is because it is said to be the first of its kind with a 90Hz display. Its recent leaks suggest this spec will be applied to an HD+ LCD display; nevertheless, it might be a considerable leap forward compared to other devices such as the recently-confirmed E20 - presuming it really will start to be marketed soon, that is.

Then again, a new tip is the best piece of possible evidence yet that the phone is indeed on the way. It comes courtesy of the Romanian online sales platform eMag, which now lists the Moto E40 as an actual product. The page in question (which remains live at the time of writing) seems to lack order buttons, yet outlines its specs and best features as though it might sprout some soon.

These details concur with those of earlier leaks at nearly every turn, from the 6.5-inch diagonal length of its allegedly upgraded screen to its Android 11-based OS. Admittedly, it does not cover its (allegedly Unisoc) SoC very well, besides to remark on its 8 cores.

Otherwise, it purports to confirm its triple rear camera with a 48MP main sensor, 4,000mAh battery and 3.5mm jack. The listing may also let slip that 1 of the colors for the Moto E40's wave-patterned shell is called Carbon Gray, whereas that strange beige-ish pale bronze shade previously spotted alongside it is called Pink Clay.

According to eMag, the 4GB RAM Moto E40 will eventually ship for 780 Romanian lei (~US$182). Therefore, it seems this store is either aware of a confirmed launch for this new phone, or has decided to populate its sale page with leaked information ahead of time in order to jump in there early with offers should it truly do so soon.
