Serge Aurier has insisted he would never join Arsenal because he has 'too much respect' for his former side Tottenham.
The 28-year-old defender joined Villarreal this week after he agreed to mutually terminate his contract with Tottenham in the summer.
Aurier 28-year-old was linked with a move across north London to the Gunners, but instead reunited with Unai Emery, having previously worked with the Spaniard at Paris St Germain.
In a post on Instagram he wrote: 'First of all, I would like to thank all the Spurs fans for these four wonderful seasons with you.
