Shot fired during Blacksburg gas station robbery

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WSET) —
A man is in custody after an armed robbery at a Blacksburg gas station Tuesday.

The robbery took place at the Exxon Station on South Main Street at around 9:15 p.m.
According to police, Michael Scott Pack fired a gun inside the gas station before leaving with money from the register.
At 11:11 p.m., a Virginia State Police trooper located Pack driving on I81 N at mile marker 127.5. Pack was then taken into custody and is currently held without bond at the Montgomery County Jail.
Pack faces the following charges:
- Armed Robbery
- Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
- and additional unrelated charges
No injuries occurred during the robbery. No further information is available at this time.
