David Beckham is reportedly in talks to get involved with next year's Formula 1 maiden Miami Grand Prix according to Miami Dolphins CEO, Tom Garfinkel.

F1 is set to have a street race along the streets of Miami, which was agreed on a ten-year deal starting in 2022. A purpose-built track will be organized near the Hard Rock Stadium.

Garfinkel will be excited to head the Grand Prix weekend next year. It was revealed that he met with Beckham over dinner to discuss his interest in the race.

“It's kind of a funny story – David and I have a mutual friend who called and said David wants to meet you and wants to get involved in the race”,

“So we had dinner last week. David is very keen to come out to the event. He's very excited about coming to Miami for the F1 race.”

Garfinkel expressed his excitement about celebrities coming to the race.

“I would expect a large degree of celebrity attendance coming from all over the world for this event. There is a big celebrity culture in Miami.”

It would not be a surprise if Beckham ends up being a business partner for the Formula 1 race as he's been involved with previous investments within Miami. Most notably, his investments in MLS Club, Inter Miami. The football legend has brought European stars to the club like former Real Madrid striker, Gonzalo Higuain, and former PSG midfielder, Blaise Matuidi.
