Walt Disney World brings back character experiences just in time for the holidays

Magic Kingdom gets festive in honor of Disney World's 50th anniversary

ORLANDO, Fla. – Snapping a picture with your favorite Disney character can once again be part of your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort, beginning this November.

On Tuesday, the Disney Parks Blog announced the return of more than 50,000 Cast Members who will help bring back live entertainment experiences and modified meet-and-greet experiences at all four theme parks this Fall.

While guests will not be able to hug or get autographs from their favorite classic characters yet, they will be able to take photos at many locations that have been closed for several months.

At the Magic Kingdom Park, guests can visit with Mickey Mouse in his 50th Anniversary EARidescent outfit at Town Square Theater. Disney Princesses will also be back at Princess Fairytale Hall in the heart of Fantasyland.

Minnie Mouse will welcome guests at Red Carpet Dreams at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, along with Disney Junior Stars, eager to greet Mouseketeers in the Animation Courtyard. When it comes to nighttime experiences, “Disney Movie Magic” will also be back November 7.

The Resort also debuted more entertainment when it kicked off “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” on October 1. “Let the Magic Begin” at Cinderella Castle is now welcoming early risers at the Magic Kingdom Park and World Showcase travelers at EPCOT can hear the beats of the Taiko drummers of Matsuriza in Japan and Alberta Bound in Canada.
