Christina Haack had to rehome her dog Biggie after experiencing some behavioral issues.

The HGTV star, who has faced questions about the Rottweiler’s whereabouts after she stopped sharing photos of him on Instagram, explained to a follower that she made the decision for the sake of her children’s safety.

“Due to behavioral issues, I made the hard decision to have Biggie re-homed in the best interest of my children,” she captioned a photo of her with her two sons, Brayden, 6, and Hudson, 2, posing with pups Cash and Stella.

Haack is also mom to 11-year-old daughter Taylor.

The “Flip or Flop” star, 38, first introduced fans to Biggie via Instagram in December 2020, just three months after announcing her separation from Ant Anstead.

“Too cute not to share. Meet the newest member of our family – Biggie. We are all obsessed and in love. 💘,” she shared at the time. The photo — and all subsequent photos of Biggie — have since been deleted from her account.

Many came to Haack’s defense after she revealed the news.

“You did the right thing rehomeing…it’s not easy, and haters gonna hate,” responded one fan. “Ignore them. You’re a Good Mama💕.”

“Don’t let these people get to you,” another wrote. “I’m sure he wasn’t a good fit for your young family. It happens. Everyone one of these haters would have done the same thing. Be Well.”

A third fan commented, “Good for you. Best he ends up in a better matched home. All breeds are not for all families.”

Haack previously revealed that she named Biggie after one of her favorite rappers: the late Biggie Smalls, aka Notorious B.I.G. She was planning to feature him on her solo HGTV show, “Christina On the Coast.”

“I picked out his name, I love Notorious,” she told Entertainment Tonight in June. “You’ll see the puppy life, and kind of a little bit of the destruction, but puppies are so cute. It is a bit of an adjustment as far as he’s getting really big and, you know, puppy life is hard.”
