Lawmakers, SEE Science Center work together to honor teachers in special way

New Hampshire lawmakers and leaders from the SEE Science Center are working to honor Granite State teachers in a special way.Local educators will receive commemorative silver coins featuring teacher and astronaut Christa McAuliffe.The new initiative is meant to recognize educators for all the work they do, especially during the pandemic. “Any of the things we took for granted were turned upside down and we saw the amazing lengths our teachers were willing to take to keep our children safe, educated and most importantly, inspired over these difficult circumstances,” Shana Hawrylchak, SEE Science Center executive director, said. Teachers selected to receive a coin will be invited to a special celebration in may for National Teacher's Day.
