Giants' Daniel Jones named NFC Offensive Player of Week 4

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, following an overtime victory against the New Orleans Saints in Week 4, has been named NFC Offensive Player of Week 4.

Jones is joined by Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevor Diggs (Defense) and Washington Football Team kick returner DeAndre Carter (Special Teams).

“He showed them what we’ve been [seeing]. Hopefully you started seeing it too,” running back Saquon Barkley told reporters after the game. “Ever since the day he’s been drafted he’s been criticized. That guy does nothing but come in and work and get better and lead every single day. He’s a competitor. He showed today he’s a special player. . . We knew he was a special player.”

Jones completed 28 of his 40 passes for a career-high 402 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran the ball four times for 27 yards.

This is Jones’ first NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award since 2019 when he defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his first ever start. He had been named a Pro Football Focus Player of the Week back in Week 2 of this season as well.
