After last two games, Cleveland Browns defense appears to be emerging: Crowquill

CLEVELAND, Ohio — After the last two games, it appears as though Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns defense is catching up to Baker Mayfield and the offense, to the point where both sides of the ball are equally feared.

Two Sundays ago against the Bears, the defense held Chicago to six points and sacked Justin Fields nine times. They held Chicago to one yard passing if you figure in the yardage lost due to sacks and the Bears managed only 46 yards rushing.

Last Sunday the defense held a good Minnesota offense to just seven points. The Browns only had two sacks but they intercepted Kirk Cousins once and held him to a QBR of 10. It was Cousins’ first INT of the year. The Vikings rushed for just 65 yards.

The defense will have their hands full this week when they travel to L.A. to face Justin Herbert and the Chargers. Let’s hope they handle this Justin as well as they did Chicago’s.
