Moses Suli has officially signed with the St George Illawarra Dragons for 2022 and beyond, after he was granted an early release by Manly Sea Eagles.

The 23-year-old had been in talks with the Red V for a number of weeks, after he fell out of favour with Manly coach Des Hasler this season.

Suli's move to the Dragons has now been confirmed, with senior reporter Danny Weidler estimating the contract will be worth $1.7 million over three years.

There had been some suggestion that Manly were looking for a $50,000 transfer fee, but that appears to have fallen through according to Weidler.

"It's exciting to bring someone of Moses's calibre to St George Illawarra," Dragons general manager Ben Haran said.

"To secure Moses for the next three years after trying to sign him a couple of seasons back is certainly pleasing. Our young outside back talent pool will only benefit from the arrival of Moses.

"Moses is a strong, powerful and skilful centre. Equally important, he is keen to make an immediate mark at the Dragons."

Suli has played 79 NRL games to date across stints with the Tigers and Sea Eagles, and on his day is one of the most destructive players in the competition.

After playing the first four games of  the 2021 season with the Sea Eagles, Suli suffered a back injury and then struggled to reclaim his spot in the centres, with Brad Parker and Morgan Harper taking the roles.
