It's finally here. Metroid Dread‘s release date is finally coming. We've always wanted to play Metroid as a metroidvania game on the go, and after the good ol' days in the Gameboy Advance, we're finally getting our wish.

Metroid Dread Release Date: October 8, 2021

Metroid Dread releases exclusively on the Nintendo Switch console on October 8, 2021. It will be the first new story Metroid in the metroidvania genre, as most of the games coming out of the franchise have been in the shooter genre. This return to form allows new fans to enjoy how Metroid was originally played, at the same time giving long-time fans what a lot of them have been asking for for a long time now.

Metroid Dread adds stealth to Samus Aran's arsenal, having to deal with the dangerous EMMI robots that she cannot take down so easily. Exploring the planet ZDR, Samus will have to use her arsenal of weapons, along with any tools she finds along the way, to find out what happened to the mysterious planet.
