For the first time in two years the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins have opened a full training camp in October. With the opening of the regular season just over a week away the team is happy to be back in town skating.

JD Forrest, WBS Penguins Coach says, “ It is a nice change from last season where it was a lot different so it is good to have some normalcy like we are used to as far as training camp. A few more bodies to look at and some new guys that we are trying to get familiar with and for the guys that were in the Pittsburgh camp it is a really good carry over for that and for the guys that weren’t it is a nice introduction to how we do things in the organization. It has been really competitive and high paced to this point so we are pretty happy at what we are seeing. “

The Penguins one up their pre season exhibition games Tomorrow night at home against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
