Dow Fire grows to 15 acres near Eagle Lake on Tuesday, crews begin mop up

LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. —
Firefighting crews stopped a fire burning near Cave Mountain, near Eagle Lake Road, in the Lassen National Forest on Tuesday.

According to U.S. Forest Service (USFS) officials with the Lassen National Forest, the Dow Fire began around 1:50 p.m. and quickly grew to 15 acres within two hours.
By 3:40 p.m., USFS said their crews had a hose lay and dozer lines around the fire and will begin mopping up.
USFS crews will remain at the scene of the fire until it's secured and controlled.
