Luke Stevens, of Atlanta, bailed on the exam to spend time with  “Hamilton” creator at an event Stevens’ mother was organizing. When Stevens teacher didn’t believe his excuse, Miranda sent a personal message asking for his excusal.

“Miss Rosner, this is Lin-Manuel Miranda, I’m sorry he can’t be in your history class right now, but he’s with me,” Miranda says in the video, posted to Twitter by Stevens’ mother.

“We’re going to be going over the Bill of Rights, and anything you may be covering right now,” Miranda added. “We cover a lot of it in about two and a half hours of ‘Hamilton.'”

The teacher’s tune then appeared to change.

“OMG! I AM FREAKING OUT DURING THE TEST AND I CAN’T SCREAM BECAUSE THEY ARE CONCENTRATING AND I AM FREAKING OUT!” the teacher responded to the message, with many additional exclaimation points.
