Number of newly confirmed Beaumont area COVID-19 cases trending down

BEAUMONT —
The number of newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Beaumont area is 34 with no new deaths reported, according to the Beaumont Health Department.

Total cases now stand at 16,998. 294 people in the Beaumont area have died of COVID-related health problems, all but 25 with underlying conditions.
Recoveries have reached 14,282.

The percentage of those 12+ fully vaccinated in Jefferson County is now 50.6% with 59.4% having at least one dose. 2.9% have had an additional dose.
