Authorities seize a half pound of meth during traffic stop

Arrest is part of an ongoing investigation regarding the use, sale and trafficking of illegal narcotics in the Pillager area.

PILLAGER — A 34-year-old Pillager woman was arrested Monday, Oct. 4, following an ongoing investigation regarding the use, sale and trafficking of illegal narcotics in the Pillager area.

A Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Sylvan Township, in rural Pillager. An investigation was initiated and a K-9 search of the vehicle was conducted. A half pound of suspected crystal methamphetamine was located and seized, along with other drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency.

The driver, the 34-year-old woman, was arrested and formal charges are pending.

The Baxter Police Department assisted with the traffic stop.
