Up and coming actor Viola Abley appears in the new Netflix series Scaredy Cats the family-friendly Halloween series

Bright rising star Viola Abley is adding another exciting project to her resume in the Netflix family-friendly Halloween original series Scaredy Cats.

Viola plays the recurring role of Blaine in the series, the class president and a strait-laced student who finds out that there may be some magic afoot.

An undeniable talent, Viola had her first booking within a month of when she began auditioning. Her third audition was the charm and she has been busy booking roles in television and film productions since!

At just eight years old, her first film was an impressive introduction to the world of acting, working with Bill Hader, Anna Kendrick, and Shirley MacLaine on the Disney Christmas movie Noelle. She also worked with Tony Award-winning choreographer Chris Galletti on the Apple TV+ ensemble musical series Schmigadoon!, where she had the pleasure of singing and dancing with Broadway star Arianna DeBose and comedian Keegan-Michael Kay in her role as Zaneeta. Schmigadoon! was released on AppleTV+ on July 16, 2021.

Viola’s next project is a recurring role on an upcoming animation series for Dreamworks/Apple TV+. While details on the series are still under wraps, it marks Viola’s largest role to date and will be an exciting release for the young talent when it comes out next year.

Viola is always looking to explore new avenues for her creativity and enjoys circus training, voice lessons, playing piano, skiing, and video games in her spare time.

During the pandemic, Viola expanded her linguistic skills when she began weekly Zoom sessions with her grandparents to learn Vietnamese.
