Matt Damon and Adam Driver Prepare to Battle Each Other in Extended Clip from THE LAST DUEL
Ridley Scott’s upcoming Medieval-set film The Last Duel looks like another great project from the legendary filmmaker. 20th Century Studios has shared a four-minute clip from the film for you to check out, and it features Matt Damon’s Jean de Carrouges and Adam Driver’s Jacques Le Gris preparing to battle each other to the death, and it all starts with a jousting match. Ya gotta love how they settle disputes back then.
The Last Duel is “a gripping tale of betrayal and vengeance set against the brutality of 14th century France. A cinematic and thought-provoking drama set in the midst of the Hundred Years War, the film explores the ubiquitous power of men, the frailty of justice, and the strength and courage of one woman willing to stand alone in the service of truth. Based on actual events, the film unravels long-held assumptions about France’s last sanctioned duel between Jean de Carrouges and Jacques Le Gris, two friends turned bitter rivals.”
The movie also stars Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck, and it’s set to be released in theaters on October 15th, 2021.
