You know what they say: all's well that ends well and following months of tension between Scarlett Johansson and Disney, both parties have come to a settlement regarding the actress' newsmaking Black Widow lawsuit which she filed in late July. Last week, news broke out that Johansson and the House of Mouse have kissed and made up, agreeing to a deal that will guarantee the MCU actress $40 million.

Turns out, Scarlett's supposed Tower of Terror reboot which she was set to produce and star in before the lawsuit was made public is tied to her settlement with the company. According to a settlement breakdown by Puck News, Disney Studios chairman Alan Bergman "knew that if he was gonna pay Johansson a chunk of her lost box office bonuses, he should roll the money into a deal for another Disney movie."

Scarlett's settlement with Disney not only ends their months-long dispute but also leaves the door wide open for future collaborations between both camps. As it stands, the actress is once again expected to headline the Tower of Terror adaptation although new details about the project have yet to be disclosed.

Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed in the end and we gotta give Disney credit for doing the right thing and agreeing to the actress' requests. As for Scarlett's future with the company, it's safe to assume that the working relationship between the two has been renewed and with the MCU set to explore the multiverse soon, the chances of us once again seeing Natasha Romanoff pop up in the franchise are highly likely.

Marvel Studios' Black Widow will be available for streaming for free on Disney+ starting October 6th.
