The 27-year-old made history on Monday as he became the first Black race car driver to win a NASCAR Cup Series race since Wendell Scott in 1963. Wallace won the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama. He beat Ryan Preece and Chris Buescher in the rain-delayed race. The athlete, born Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr., announced his engagement to Carter back in July. The couple began dating in 2016, and share an Aussiedoodle dog named Asher.
