When we met the Nite Owls, a group of Mandalorian resistance fighters, in the second season of The Mandalorian, the biggest news surrounding their appearance was the live-action debut of Bo-Katan, being played by the character’s previous voice actor, Katee Sackhoff. But at the same time, fans of pro wrestling were also treated to the appearance of former WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks playing the character of Kosa Reeves.

Banks (real name Mercedes Justine Kaestner-Varnado) showed up as Kosa Reeves in a few different episodes including the season’s final episode that featured the now-famous appearance of a digitally de-aged Mark Hammil reprising the role of Luke Skywalker. By the end of the season, we were unsure what the future held for Kosa Reeves and Banks’ involvement in any other Star Wars projects. Now it appears that she could be reprising the role in the upcoming series The Book of Boba Fett.

Last week, Banks shared a picture of the official teaser poster for The Book of Boba Fett, including the premiere date for the series, to her Instagram story (via ComicBook.com). Now, this could just be an instance of someone promoting the projects of people they’ve worked with in the past, or even more simply, Banks could simply be very excited to get to see The Book of Boba Fett just like the rest of us.

However, it’s possible this could be the first tease to let us know to expect Kosa Reeves to make a return at some point in The Book of Boba Fett.

Is Sasha Banks going to be in The Book of Boba Fett?

We know that the series will take place after the events of the second season of The Mandalorian, so it’s very possible that Kosa Reeves will show up at some point in the series. Plus, Kosa Reeves even had a very brief incident with Boba Fett in The Mandalorian where it was clear that the two don’t exactly see eye to eye. It’s easy to imagine a storyline growing out of that that could take place while Boba Fett is taking over the criminal underworld.

While Sasha Banks is currently appearing in WWE television, WWE has made time for their wrestlers in the past to seek out acting opportunities. It would obviously be exciting for one of their superstars to show up in a Star Wars TV show again, so that wouldn’t be an obstacle to Kosa Reeves’ return to the galaxy far far away.

Kosa Reeves was obviously a very exciting addition to the Star Wars universe, and even if she doesn’t return in The Book of Boba Fett, there’s still the third season of The Mandalorian, as well as plenty of novels and comics that she could show up in at some point in the future. Hopefully, either way, we haven’t seen the last of Kosa Reeves. We’ll find out when The Book of Boba Fett premieres on Disney+ at the end of the year on Dec. 29.
