It wouldn’t be the first underground tunnel found in one of the royal family’s homes.

Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank may have let word slip about one of the secret tunnels underneath London that the royal family allegedly uses to get from their palace to the local bar undetected.

According to Daily Mail columnist Richard Eden, Brooksbank confirmed the rumors that these very exclusive passageways exist and that one of routes takes them straight to an upscale cocktail bar in town. “There is one to Dukes Bar from St James’s Palace,” he reportedly told Eden at a party sponsored by Casamigos, the tequila brand founded by George Clooney and Rande Gerber that Brooksbank works for as a brand ambassador. A job that also previously got the royal in trouble when he was photographed on a boat off the coast of Italy with a handful of topless influencers. Brooksbank added, “I haven’t used it yet, but I’d love to check it out.” Dukes Bar is found within a hotel by the same name located in Mayfair and, according to the New York Times, is home to “one of the world’s best” martinis.

If this report is true, it wouldn’t be the first time that one of the royal family’s many properties has been revealed to contain a hidden passageway. Buckingham Palace’s White Drawing Room is regularly used for small gatherings, audiences with Queen Elizabeth, and where key guests are introduced to the monarch ahead of big events. It also has a secret door disguised as a huge mirror and cabinet that the Queen uses to enter the room as it is connected to her private apartments. Windsor Castle also boasts a hidden tunnel with a trap door concealed underneath a carpet in one of the home’s offices. Below is a set of large stone steps built in the 1200s that were used by armies to escape should the castle fall under siege.
