Michael Strahan asked fans a question — and they answered honestly.

With football season officially underway, the 49-year-old Good Morning America coanchor couldn’t help but go down memory lane. After 15 years in the NFL, the defensive lineman retired from the New York Giants in 2008 and later, officially became a Hall of Famer in 2014.

Ahead of the weekend, before the Giants went up against the New Orleans Saints, he asked in an Instagram post if his bronze bust accurately captured his likeness. In the photo, Michael stands next to it at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, donning his signature smile.

“Does my @nygiants bust look like me?” he wrote. “LOL swipe right for a closer look!”

Upon taking a closer look at the Fox NFL Sunday cohost and the sports memento side-by-side, fans immediately flooded the comments section with their opinions. While many applauded Michael’s special honor, others got real candid with The $100,000 Pyramid game show host.

“Not so much! You're so much better looking,” one person said. “Nope. Doesn't do you justice. Not even close, you're much more handsome,” another added. “Absolutely NOT,” a different fan said. While someone else wrote: "They did you dirty."

Speaking with The New Yorker in August 2014, days before his bust was unveiled, Michael opened up about the importance of having his one-of-a-kind smile replicated. Since 1983, sculptor Blair Buswell has helped induct more than 95 football stars into the Hall of Fame with busts. And one of his recommendations is for athletes not to smile because “bronze teeth never look right.”

But that didn’t sway Michael, who knew fans would instantly recognize his grin. “I presented a unique challenge, ’cause I told him I wanted to smile,” he told the outlet. “If I close my mouth, people won’t know who it is.”

And he's not wrong because who could forget that smile?!
