If you thought Venom: Let There Be Carnage was an odd-couple caper, then wait 'til you hear about upcoming musical The End.
In casting news that has caught us off guard, Marvel star Tilda Swinton and Venom 2's Stephen Graham are teaming up for a brand new movie-musical all about the apocalypse.
Tilda – who played The Ancient One in Doctor Strange – and Stephen, Venom's Patrick Mulligan, are to star alongside 1917's George MacKay in a musical number following the last family on Earth.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Joshua Oppenheimer is set to direct the project, which is due to begin production in 2022, and studio Neon (Parasite) will distribute.
As for the tunes, La La Land's Marius de Vries will serve as The End's executive music producer, and composer Josh Schmidt will write some of the original music.
Meanwhile, in distinctly un-musical news, Venom: Let There Be Carnage recently surpassed expectations at the US box office, taking in $25-30 million more than initially expected.
Venom 2's impressive opening weekend paves the way for a potential sequel – something director Andy Serkis has already been dropping hints about.

Offering his thoughts about a potential crossover for Tom Hardy's Venom and Tom Holland's Spider-Man, Serkis teased: "Look, that's the question on everyone's lips. They want to know if Venom is gonna meet Spider-Man, but personally, it's never gonna happen.
"I'm only joking, of course it's gonna happen!"
Venom: Let There Be Carnage opens in cinemas on October 1 in the US and October 15 in the UK.
