Jalen Hurts: Eagles second-year QB on a historic pace after first 8 starts

Jalen Hurts play through the first four weeks of the 2021 season have eliminated any talk of the Eagles looking to upgrade at quarterback in the future.

Hurts has completed 66 percent of his passes, thrown seven touchdowns and two interceptions, with a passer rating of 101.1.

The second-year quarterback is essentially still a rookie at this pace, and Hurts is on a historic pace after his first eight starts.

Hurts put up almost 400 passing yards against the Chiefs without tossing a turnover.

Donovan McNabb accomplished the feat twice, along with Michael Vick.

Per Reuben Frank, Hurts’s 2,086 passing yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions puts him among only nine QBs with 2,086 yards and 12 TDs in his first eight starts, and along with Kurt Warner, as one of only two with five or fewer INTs.
