‘SATC’ reboot clips drop as Sarah Jessica Parker reveals release date

In a layered flush of fluttering pastels and impossibly immaculate Gotham streets, Sarah Jessica Parker’s mercurial Carrie Bradshaw has appeared like a mirage to drop a release date on us.

And so it was announced Tuesday that the much-hyped “Sex and the City” reboot — yes, it’s still clumsily titled “And Just Like That…” — is set to premiere on HBO Max in December. No specific day in December, just “December.”

Parker, 56, took a break from her high-profile routine of sucking cigs and flirting with booty-shorted beefcakes to announce the news.

“It’s Sarah Jessica, hello from New York City — Fifth Avenue,” the actress-producer says with a dainty wave before the latest montage of teaser clips plays. “[We’re] shooting, as we speak, the next chapter of ‘Sex and The City’ … with some beloved friends, but in the mean time — swoosh!”

Yes, the “Hocus Pocus” star literally emits a “swooosh” noise while swiping her hand across the scene to reveal a graphic touting the December release of “And Just Like That…”

She seals the deal with a very en francais air kiss and a purred “Ciao” as she waves goodbye to the camera.

Billed as a “Max Original” from executive producer Michael Patrick King, the new reboot follows Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they “navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

The series is still filming in NYC and features a previously announced mix of old and new cast members including Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg and Evan Handler.

The late Willie Garson, the beloved character actor who played Carrie’s bestie Stanford Blatch, is also expected to appear. Fans are still mourning his death at 57 last month after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
