‘I have no words’: Britney Spears thanks #FreeBritney fans amid conservatorship win

Britney Spears has thanked her fans for their efforts in helping end her conservatorship.

Spears’ dedicated fans have long campaigned to help bring an end to a conservatorship that has controlled the pop superstar’s life and career since 2008.

Last week, the singer’s father Jamie Spears was removed from the legal arrangement, meaning he would no longer control her $60 million (£45 million) estate.

Fans across the globe celebrated their idol’s legal victory over her father.

The 39-year-old has now thanked her supporters for their “constant resilience”.

Spears tweeted: “#FreeBritney movement … I have no words … because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!!! I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it …

“I feel your hearts and you feel mine … that much I know is true !!!!!”

Fans are delighted to see the star doing well and sent a flurry of messages of support to Spears after last week’s hearing.

Accountant John Zabel will now manage her finances until December 31, while Jodi Montgomery remains conservator of Spears’ personal affairs.

Spears, a once all-conquering pop star, has not performed live since 2018 amid a fierce row with her father.

Her father being removed from the conservatorship marks a significant milestone for the pop superstar.

The legal battle has been under the spotlight for much of this year following emotional testimonies from Spears and the release of the Framing Britney Spears documentary.

To celebrate the legal win, Spears shared nude pictures of herself on Instagram while on an idyllic getaway with her fiancé, 27-year-old actor and fitness expert Sam Asghari.

A hearing to discuss the termination of the conservatorship was set for November 12.
