After a long 13 years under a conservatorship, Britney Spears is finally experiencing some freedom.
The iconic singer is currently undergoing a gruelling and lengthy trial to get out of the conservatorship completely, backed by her fans’ #FreeBritney movement. Most recently, her father Jamie Spears was suspended as the conservator of her estate, meaning he is no longer in charge of her finances.
In her latest Instagram post, Britney is expressing her gratitude for her fans' support.
She captioned it: “#FreeBritney movement … I have no words … because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!!! I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it … I feel your hearts and you feel mine … that much I know is true 💞 !!!!!”
Along with her sentimental words, Britney posted a video of herself posing with a whole new look. Her hair looks thicker and has been styled straight, giving us flashbacks to her Sometimes music video.
Britney’s new hairstyle was the work of celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, who posted the same video, writing: “When Britney asks u for a new look you just have to serve:)))”. And serve, he did.
Britney’s post was inundated with comments from fellow celebrities, all praising her new look.
“You look soooooooo good ❤️” wrote Miley Cyrus. While model Jess King added: “Your hair looks beautiful queen”.
She also got countless comments from fans, who couldn’t get enough of her hair.
One user wrote: “Looks like she got her hair done ✔ 🔥”
Another added: “The hair we’ve been waiting for! 😍”.
While another user said: “Oh my gosh! The new hair is *straight* fire!!!!!! The way you are acknowledging your fans makes my heart swell. ❤️🔥”
Other comments included: “that hair looks beautiful queen”, “Yes! And a good hair day” and “The hair is giving what needed to be gave”.
Then, one other comment made a very poignant point about how Britney’s new look ties into her new-found freedom: “When we all begin to realize the conservatorship never even allowed her to get her hair done, until now. You look gorgeous, queen”.
