The Pittsburgh Steelers announced a practice squad move on Monday. With an open spot on the roster, the team has added journeyman nose tackle Eli Ankou.

Ankou is well-traveled since coming to the NFL in 2017 as an undrafted rookie. In fact, Ankou has been on seven different rosters, not including Pittsburgh. Ankou has appeared in 25 games during his career. and has 31 career tackles.

A pure nose tackle prospect, Ankou played his college ball at UCLA. His signing could be a sign that defensive tackle Carlos Davis is going to be out for an extended period of time with the knee injury he’s been dealing with.
