Las Vegas Raiders offensive line struggling early against Los Angeles

The Las Vegas Raiders have major issues upfront along the offensive line, and their deficiencies are rearing their ugly head early Monday night.
Going into the Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, the expectation was that the Las Vegas Raiders were going to have issues up front along the offensive line. Decimated by injuries this season, and with a rookie at left tackle, the Chargers pass rush was supposed to get good push all night long.
Early on, that has been the case, as Derek Carr has been hit multiple times already, and nearly lost the ball due to a fumble in the first quarter. It seems as if every time Carr drops back to pass, he is under duress, which many expected to be the case when previewing this matchup.
Luckily for the Raiders, the Chargers star quarterback, Justin Herbert has also been pressured all game long, as the team goes into the second quarter with a score of 7-0. The Chargers got the ball to start the game, and drove the length of the field, but have not done anything since then.
Raiders have zero yards in the first quarter
Incredibly, after racking up a ton of yards in all three of their first games, the offense is struggling in a big way, as Carr has been pressured, and Josh Jacobs has been in and out of the game due to injury. He returned on the team’s final drive of the first quarter but was ineffective, and something needs to give if the Raiders are going to keep pace with the Chargers.
It is still very early, but Tom Cable needs to change up the game plan if Carr is going to get any time to throw tonight. He went into this game leading the NFL in passing yards, and it may be time for him to start looking at Darren Waller a bit more, as he was not targeted at all in the first quarter of this one.
