Dodgers: Mookie Betts Tops MLB Jersey Sales Again in 2021

When the Dodgers traded for Mookie Betts prior to the 2020 season, they knew exactly what they were getting. They knew they were getting the electric talent on the field, but they also knew what he was capable of off of the field and in the community.

There’s a reason that Mookie is a fan-favorite at Chavez Ravine. The guy knows how to appreciate fans and to make that appreciation known, and he does it every time he steps onto the field. So when it was announced that Betts had the top jersey sales in MLB in 2021 once again, that was no surprise.

There were a total of 4 Dodgers players in the top 10 in jersey sales this year. Clayton Kershaw came in at number 5, Cody Bellinger at number 6, and Corey Seager at number 8. If Max Scherzer and Trea Turner had been on the team all year, chances are they would’ve made the list as well.

Dodgers fans know how to support their players, and buying jerseys is just one way they get it done. And why wouldn’t you buy a Mookie jersey? He’s signed to stay in Los Angeles through the 2032 season. That’s a pretty good investment for any fan in LA.

Up next for the Dodgers, they take on the Cardinals in the Wild Card Game on Wednesday. Adam Wainwright gets the ball going up against Max Scherzer, and it should be a WILD Wild Card Game.
