The next entry in Ubisoft's long-running first-person shooter franchise, Far Cry, is almost here: Far Cry 6, the sequel to Far Cry 5 and its spinoff Far Cry New Dawn. Far Cry 6 launches on October 7th, 2021, which is right around the corner, and will be available on a number of platforms. Far Cry 6 Release Date
You may already know that Far Cry 6 releases on October 7th, but the game isn't just coming to current and next-gen platforms. Far Cry 6 will be launching internationally on the 7th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|X, and Amazon Luna. The Stadia version of the game will be coming in 2022.
The game was originally set to release February 18th, 2021, but due to COVID-19-related happenings, the game's release was delayed into October 2021 back in October of 2020.

If you're interested in playing Far Cry 6 as soon as it launches, the game will be available for pre-load before launch on both consoles and PC. The next-gen versions of the game will come with extra graphical features, running at 4K 60 FPS instead of offering ray-tracing support.
Ubisoft has also announced a season pass for Far Cry 6, which will include a suite of post-launch content. Missions coming for free after launch will feature Rambo, Stranger Things, and actor Danny Trejo, while the season pass for Far Cry 6 will include three fully-featured episodes playable solo or co-op that feature past villains from the Far Cry series. Season pass content will also include a variety of in-game items and weapons.
Far Cry 6 Release Time
For most video game releases, games are released at specific times that are often different across all the various timezones of the world. This tends to me that while a game may officially launch on a certain day, depending on your region, it may launch well into the next day or on the day before.
This isn't the case for Far Cry 6: Far Cry 6 will launch at 12:01am local time in all timezones. This means that when the clock strikes 12:01 on the morning of October 7th, regardless of where you live Far Cry 6 will be playable.
Based on timezones, the first region to see Far Cry 6 go live will be New Zealand. But the time will be the same for all regions on the 7th. This will make it easy to start playing Far Cry 6 as early as possible, because you won't have to wait until 10am on the day of or anything like that.
Far Cry 6 Launch Issues
Far Cry games aren't strangers to launch issues, but they don't usually have huge, gamebreaking problems that keep people out of the game for long periods of time. This comes down to the fact that Far Cry is traditionally a more singleplayer and co-op-focused game, there are fewer possible server-side bugs and issues that can stop you from playing.

Nonetheless, expecting crashing, visual glitches, and everything you might see from a game release on day one is entirely possible. Plus, given the game's huge delay because of COVID-19 complicated, Far Cry 6 may have an unusually rocky launch.
