Michael Jordan's time in Charlotte is over. To clarify, though, Charlotte Hornets owner and NBA legend Michael Jordan is not going anywhere. Instead, there is a different MJ leaving the city after the Carolina Panthers waived offensive guard Michael Jordan.

Unlike His Airness who spent his collegiate career in North Carolina and returned to Charlotte to become part of the ownership of the local NBA team, Michael Jordan (the fotball player) didn't last long in the city.

He was claimed off waivers by the Panthers in early September, two weeks before the season started. However, he was never able to play a game for Carolina until the team eventually decided to part ways with him.

Before landing in Carolina with the Panthers, Michael Jordan spent the first two years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 draft after a standout career in Ohio State.

Jordan started a total of 19 games for the Bengals, though he never really stood out. He was deemed as an emergency option for the Panthers when they picked him up, as there is no doubt he could be a quality backup should injuries arise. Unfortunately, he never got the chance to prove himself to the team, with his time ending before it even really started.
