OPINION:
Another day and another crisis created by President Joe Biden. The latest crisis has come as a result of Mr. Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate. In the name of “fighting” COVID-19, Mr. Biden has decided to impose forced vaccines on the American people, which has caused a hospital worker shortage. You read that right; Mr. Biden’s order will make it more difficult for those who have been hospitalized with COVID-19 to receive the care they urgently need. This is the upside world we find ourselves living in. This is Joe Biden’s America.
In reality, Mr. Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and the rest of the power-hungry overlords in the West Wing are seeking total control of our lives in the name of COVID-19 mitigation, and the American people are finally saying no more. Americans who don’t want the government controlling what they put into their bodies have simply had enough. Mr. Biden’s anti-individual liberty approach is causing organic anti-vaccine mandate coalitions to form around the country made up of Americans from all walks of life and across the political spectrum.
Mr. Biden’s forced vaccine flip-flip - he was once against the heavy-handed tactic - has created an enormous political problem for Democrats. Americans against vaccine mandates aren’t just Trump voters or conservatives or Republicans. Many Democrats, Independents - and Black Lives Matter - are also against the government’s intrusion into our personal medical decisions.
Out of touch career politicians like Mr. Biden, who don’t believe in free will or trust Americans to make their own choices, just don’t get it. Big government evangelists think they know best but, in reality, are only making the COVID-19 problem worse. Similar to the other crises Mr. Biden has created, the American people would have been better off if he did nothing.
Mr. Biden’s illegal mandate is causing a health care worker shortage at the worst possible time. The very individuals once heralded as heroes for risking their lives daily to care for their fellow countrymen infected with COVID-19 are now being fired or simply quitting their jobs due to Mr. Biden’s tyranny.
Just months ago, parades were thrown, and awards were handed out to frontline workers for continuing to work in hospitals before the vaccine was available. Now, they’re an enemy of the state if they don’t fall in line. Never mind antibodies; never mind natural immunity; never mind the Constitution - if you don’t do what Joe Biden says, you can’t live your life or support your family.
With the COVID-19 Delta variant still causing thousands of Americans to get sick to the point that they require hospitalization, we need all hands on deck. Instead, Mr. Biden is literally getting medics thrown off the battlefield due to his latest disastrous policy. To the detriment of the American people, this president just can’t get out of his own way. Whether it’s his border crisis, crime crisis, inflation crisis, Afghanistan crisis, or this unwarranted vaccine mandate crisis, Mr. Biden has been dead wrong. How in the world can border patrol agents and hospital workers are subject to a vaccine mandate, but illegal immigrants are not? Americans are learning the hard way that elections do have consequences and right track-wrong track polling numbers prove it. An average of recent survey data shows that 60 percent of Americans believe we’re on the wrong track, while only 32 percent think we’re headed in the right direction.
Since taking office in January - and even before - Mr. Biden has screwed up the government’s response to COVID-19 at every turn. First, it was creating doubt about the efficacy of a vaccine overseen by President Trump. Then, it was the clumsy mixed signals about wearing masks. After that, the CDC was caught doing the bidding of teacher unions on school closings. Then it was the big announcement that we’re safe if we’re vaccinated. Then there was the big announcement that we’re not safe even if we are vaccinated. Then, we’re told to get a booster shot even if we’re vaccinated. Now, you must get vaccinated, or you might get fired from your job.
During the presidency of Joe Biden, the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that Thomas Jefferson wrote about so eloquently in the Declaration of Independence are no longer valid. This president is creating a culture in which the unvaccinated are outcasts not welcome in society, including frontline health care workers. A national tragedy isn’t a strong enough way to describe it.
No wonder the American people are frustrated. During a pandemic, people rely on sober leadership and clear messaging. Joe Biden has succeeded in doing the opposite. With daily headlines such as, “Hospitals fear staffing shortages as vaccine deadlines loom,” “New York hospitals fire, suspend staff who refuse COVID vaccine,” and “North Carolina hospital system fires 175 employees who have not gotten vaccinated,” it’s time for Joe Biden to change course and give Americans their freedom back - and give our hospital heroes their jobs back.
