Batwoman spoilers follow.
Batwoman season three has just confirmed the impending return of another classic Batman villain, after it was previously revealed that both Poison Ivy and Mad Hatter would soon be joining the Arrowverse.
Set to make their debut in season three's second episode 'Loose Teeth' is none other than Killer Croc, who DC fans have previously seen brought to life in TV series Gotham and David Ayer's Suicide Squad.
While some eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted Killer Croc in Batwoman's latest trailer, the news was officially announced via the episode's synopsis, which describes the arrival of "a new incarnation of Gotham's swamp-slumming Killer Croc".

"A BITING CHANCE – When a new incarnation of Gotham's swamp-slumming Killer Croc surfaces and starts racking up a body count, the inaugural team-up of Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) and Alice (Rachel Skarsten) is put to the test," it reads (via ComicBook.com).
"But Alice isn't the only unwanted intrusion into Ryan's life when Jada Jet (Robin Givens) shows up at Wayne Enterprises, insisting on meeting the company's new CEO.
"Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary's (Nicole Kang) relationship is strained under the weight of a secret Luke is keeping, while Sophie (Meagan Tandy) finds herself becoming part of Ryan's inner circle."
As for what else Batwoman fans can expect to see from the series' third, and potentially final, season, showrunner Caroline Dries previously hinted at a confrontation between Ryan Wilder, the False Face Society and its leader Black Mask.

"While Ryan never used drugs, she was in a relationship where somebody was using drugs and it's ultimately what got Ryan put away in jail," she said previously.
"So, it's this idea that Ryan is this innocent woman and if she were white, per se, she might not have had the same punishment [that] she, as an innocent Black woman, had to go through. That's a huge piece of her backstory, so that's something we're exploring."
Batwoman season 2 is airing on The CW in the US. E4 airs the series in the UK.
