Which Indiana Pacers have the most to gain from the preseason?

The Indiana Pacers open up their preseason on Tuesday as they ramp up for the regular season in just a couple of weeks. Indiana will play four preseason games in October before heading to Charlotte to tip off their season on Oct. 20.

The first preseason matchup is Tuesday night against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, followed by a trip to Cleveland on Friday. Indiana’s final two exhibitions will be at home in the newly-named Gainbridge Fieldhouse against the Grizzlies (Oct. 13) and Cavaliers (Oct. 15).

We can all agree that the preseason is not all that exciting but it does give players a chance to see real competition for the first time, aside from those who played in the Summer League. With Rick Carlisle stepping in as head coach and the Pacers dealing with a little bit of roster turnover, this could be a good opportunity to build some chemistry and run through some rotations.

Indiana has some young guys in the building that can be high-impact players right out of the gate if they can get settled into the rotation. Even some guys who were here last season have to prove their worth in the rotation under a new coaching staff so this is set to be an important preseason slate.

Which Indiana Pacers should we keep a close eye on during the four scrimmages?
