Who’s playing for the Bruins tonight against the Flyers?

Not exactly an NHL-heavy group, as expected.

Earlier this morning, the Bruins announced their traveling roster for tonight’s preseason game against the Flyers in Philadelphia.

As expected, it’s a lineup that’s pretty heavy on youth/fringe guys.

Forwards: Samuel Asselin, Anton Blidh, Trent Frederic, Jesper Froden, Curtis Hall, Cam Hughes, Joona Koppanen, Karson Kuhlman, Jakub Lauko, Curtis Lazar, Oskar Steen, Jack Studnicka, and Chris Wagner

Defensemen: Jack Ahcan, Connor Clifton, Tyler Lewington, Brady Lyle, John Moore, Nick Wolff, and Jakub Zboril

Goalies: Troy Grosenick, Kyle Keyser, and Jeremy Swayman

Unlike the last match-up with Philly, this is a group that’s pretty light on NHL experience (especially on defense).

Given the fact that the B’s want to give both Swayman and Linus Ullmark one more start each before the regular season begins, it looks like Ullmark will get his chance in the preseason finale on Wednesday.

It remains to be see whether or not Swayman gets the full 60 minutes tonight; I could see an argument in either direction.

In any case, with the last preseason game looming and the regular season right around the corner, tonight could be the last chance for guys like Frederic, Kuhlman, Wagner, etc. to assert themselves for a lineup spot, or at least to be the “first man in” when there’s an injury.

As a reminder, tonight’s game will air on NESN (and NHL Network out of market) at 7 PM.
