Detroit Pistons: Predicting stats for every player on the roster

The Detroit Pistons tip off their preseason this week with a lot of excitement around their young team.

The Pistons will feature a mixture of young players and veterans though Dwane Casey hinted that the starting lineup may trend very young.

Coach Casey also said he’d start the season with a 10-man rotation, so there will be some interesting training camp battles for minutes.

This could also lead to Casey using many different groups, and guys who are on the bench or in the G-League might not remain there, as the Pistons will experiment with different lineups and combinations of players.

Predicting season stats will be difficult, as some of these players might not make their debut until later in the season and then only if the Detroit Pistons are out of contention for a play-in spot.

But I’ll take a shot at it anyway, so here are some stat predictions for each guy.

Detroit Pistons: Players in the G-League

Saben Lee

Isaiah Livers

Chris Smith

Jamorko Pickett

Both Chris Smith and Isaiah Livers are returning from injury and I expect they will spend most of the season in the G-League as they recover. Jamorko Pickett is an interesting name here, as he had a very good Summer League that turned some heads and he could eventually work his way onto the full-time roster.

Saben Lee is the most likely to get minutes with the Pistons this season, and I could see him bouncing back and forth several times, especially now that the Cruise are closer to the home base in Detroit.

If the Detroit Pistons find themselves out of playoff contention, expect all of these players to get some run at some point in the season.
